Pediatric Therapy Services

Eligibility: Referral required from health care profession, pediatrician, school personnel for health and therapy services

Fee for Service: No

CARE provides school based physical therapy and occupational therapy services in school districts throughout McKean County. CARE also provides Early Intervention Services for children birth to three. EI services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and special instruction.

Rainbow Corner Preschool

Targeted age group(s): 2 - 5
Fee for Service: Yes – tuition based; sliding fee scale based on family income

Community Outreach Services

Targeted age group(s): Birth to 21
Fee for Service: No

CARE for Children provides family support for children with special health care needs including resource and referral and service coordination; therapeutic recreation for children with disabilities and delays; and a disability awareness program for fourth graders.

Pediatric Health Services—Shriners Rural Outreach Clinic

CARE for Children is the local site for Shriners Hospital for Children (Erie, PA) Orthopedic Clinics, which hosts adaptive equipment clinics and brace clinics, operates a pediatric equipment loan closet, and developmental and scoliosis screenings.

Safe Kids McKean County

Safe Kids McKean is a collaboration of non-profit organizations, the PA Department of Health, civic groups, local businesses and industries, and individuals with the goal of promoting child safety and injury prevention through targeted activities that meet local needs. CARE for Children is the lead agency for Safe Kids McKean County.
